La Guiraude

Built in 1843, the property has been renovated to an extremely high standard. High quality fittings, stylish bathrooms, bright fabrics and many other luxury features make it an outstanding residence. Plus constructed of stone and brick under a tile roof with many original decorative ironwork features, it offers a warm cosy residence in the winter, yet remains cool in the hot summer months.

La Guiraude is ideal for large groups or the two wings can be rented separately during the off season months. Suitable for families, friends, the property is also ideal for corporate events or special events such as weddings. Each wing has it’s own private entrance and terraces and a separate gate at the rear can ensure privacy or, when rented together, allows access from one wing to the other.

Grounds

Surrounded by fields and beautifully landscaped with trees, shrubs and, in the summer, flower-filled tubs, our gardens are a sight to behold. You can escape the midday sun and relax on shaded stone benches, take an evening stroll along the illuminated pathways or just enjoy the wonderful view across the valley. The choice is yours.

The gardens include an arbour and a shallow (fenced) pond with an Italian-style fountain and many quiet shady places to sit and relax. There’s also a seating area with ample sun loungers, tables, chairs and parasols near our HEATED 12.mx6m swimming pool. The pool, which boasts an Italian style pool house with changing and shower rooms, is perfect for lazy days in the sun. Additionally there is a separate garden area with children’s swings.

Important Notes

Smoking is not allowed in the house, but acceptable outside.
Owners reside in the Lodge at the entrance to the property.
(They tend the garden and pool and are on hand for any help or advice)
A chef is normally available for catering, private dinners or gourmet meals.
In the main house there are steps that lead to some areas and rooms.

Cot, stair gate, highchair and selection of children’s toys available.
